Yogi Bear (2010)

Yogi Bear (2010)

Postby Sam » Mon Jan 04, 2010 6:05 am

So they released an official synopsis now:
Live-Action/CG Animated Adventure in 3D. Everyone’s favorite pic-a-nic basket-stealing bear comes to the big screen in “Yogi Bear.” Jellystone Park has been losing business, so greedy Mayor Brown decides to shut it down and sell the land. That means families will no longer be able to experience the natural beauty of the outdoors — and, even worse, Yogi and Boo Boo will be tossed out of the only home they’ve ever known. Faced with his biggest challenge ever, Yogi must prove that he really is “smarter than the average bear” as he and Boo Boo join forces with their old nemesis Ranger Smith to find a way to save Jellystone Park from closing forever.

Voiced by Dan Aykroyd, Justin Timberlake and Anna Faris.

The cartoon was lame as shit. This should be no different.

Yogi Bear was an asshole, an so was his little buddy.
I am glad that I didn't have to go further than the first page for a usable picture. Otherwise my animosity against filmincarnate for this suggestion would be greater. - Codey on Filmincarnate and that Precious chick.

You guys are way off. The cartoon was the pinnacle of animation and I assume the film will be so as well.

You've obviously never had a pic-a-nik basket stolen by an anthropomorphic bear and his little, slow-talking love buddy while a hapless park ranger watches and does nothing.

I admit (reluctantly) that I watched this show when I was 6-8 years old along with several other cartoons such as "The Hair Bear Bunch", "Jabber Jaw", "Huckleberry Hound", "Speed Buggy", and so forth.

However, unlike many other cartoons that I watched around the same time, I just don't feel that these held up as well when I tried watching an episode or two again. In fact, one of the Christmas specials that I ran across this year was a Yogi Bear cartoon, and I wasn't even able to make it all of the way through.

I remember liking Yogi's Treasure Hunt and Yogi's Space Race back when I was about 7-8, but I never cared much for the original show.

Teaser Trailer:

Is it just me or does Aykroyd's Yogi voice suck balls? Oh well, at least Anna Faris looks good and it has JD's brother from Scrubs.

That trailer is as bad, if not worse than, the trailer for Smurfs. I really hope this shit does not catch on :shake:

Nyquil > than yogi bear.

Yes, the movie hasn't come out, I haven't seen it, but the cartoon fucking sucked, so no doubt this will be garbage, too. Shit on the big screen is just bigger shit.
